Review Process

We recognise the value of timely publication in today’s fast-paced research climate. JNSI uses a simplified and fast review procedure to ensure that high-quality submissions are examined and published quickly while maintaining stringent peer review standards.

Quarterly Online Publishing

JNSI is published quarterly in a fully online format, enabling instant global dissemination of research findings and timely access to the most recent advancements in the area.

Submission Process

JNSI accepts original research articles, reviews, case studies, and technical remarks. To ensure the highest quality standards, all submissions are rigorously peer-reviewed by specialists in their respective fields.

Open Access and Ethical Standards

JNSI is an open access publication, therefore all published information is freely available to readers worldwide. We maintain the highest ethical standards in scientific publishing, assuring transparency, integrity, and respect for intellectual property rights.

Ethical Considerations

  1. Originality: Submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.
  2. Authorship: All authors must have contributed substantially to the work.
  3. Ethics Approval: Studies involving human or animal subjects must have appropriate ethical approval.
  4. Conflict of Interest: Declare any potential conflicts of interest.

Types of Submissions

  1. Research Articles: Original, unpublished research that presents significant findings in the field of JNSI. Limit: 6,000-8,000 words.
  2. Review Articles: Critical analyses of existing literature on specific NBS topics. Limit: 8,000-10,000 words.
  3. Case Studies: Detailed examinations of real-world NBS projects, including challenges, solutions, and lessons learned. Limit: 4,000-6,000 words.
  4. Perspectives: Opinion pieces or commentaries on current trends, policies, or future directions in NBS. Limit: 2,000-3,000 words.

Manuscript Preparation

  1. Format: All manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX format.
  2. Structure: Include the following sections: Title, Abstract (300 words max), Keywords (5-8), Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, and References. We recommend using the LaTeX template available at the link. For assistance with LaTeX, consider using TeXstudio (remember to install Miktex ) or the Overleaf online platform.
  3. Figures and Tables: Submit as separate files. Figures in high-resolution (300 dpi) PNG or TIFF format. Tables in editable format (e.g., Word or Excel).
  4. References: Use the APA 7th edition style. Ensure all citations are included in the reference list.
  5. Supplementary Materials: Any additional data, code, or materials should be submitted as supplementary files.

Submission Process

  1. Online Submission: Submit manuscripts via our online submission system.
  2. Cover Letter: Include a cover letter stating the manuscript’s significance and suitability for JNSI.
  3. Peer Review: All submissions undergo double-blind peer review by at least two expert reviewers.
  4. Revisions: Authors may be asked to revise manuscripts based on reviewers’ comments.
