Open Access Policy

Introduction
1.1 JNSI is a peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in the fields of nature-based solutions, sustainability innovations, and emerging technologies.

1.2 As an open access journal, JNSI is committed to providing free and unrestricted access to its published content, promoting the widespread dissemination and impact of research findings.
Open Access Policy
2.1. All research articles published in JNSI are made freely available online for anyone to read, download, and distribute without financial, legal, or technical barriers.
2.2. Authors retain the copyright of their work and grant the journal the right to publish and distribute the article under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY).
Article Processing Charges (APCs)
3.1. JNSI follows an Article Processing Charge (APC) model to cover the costs of publication and ensure sustainable open access.
3.2. The current APC for JNSI is $USD20.00 or Cedi equivalent for all accepted articles. Waivers available for authors from low-income countries.
3.3. Authors from low-income countries or those facing financial hardship may apply for a full or partial waiver of the APC.
Submission and Peer Review Process
4.1. Authors should submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system, following the provided author guidelines.
4.2. All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process by experts in the relevant field to ensure the quality and integrity of the research.
4.3. Accepted articles will be published online as soon as they are ready, without waiting for a specific issue or volume.
Copyright and Licensing
5.1. Authors retain the copyright of their work and grant JNSI an exclusive license to publish and distribute the article.
5.2. Articles published in JNSI are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.
Archiving and Preservation
6.1. JNSI is working to ensure the long-term preservation and archiving of its published content through partnerships with recognized digital repositories.
6.2. Articles published in JNSI will be assigned a permanent Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to facilitate citation and access.
Author Compliance
7.1. Authors are expected to adhere to the journal’s ethical guidelines and ensure that their submitted work is original, has not been published elsewhere, and does not infringe on any copyright or intellectual property rights.
7.2. Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, sources of funding, and obtain necessary permissions for the use of copyrighted material.
Indexing and Discoverability
8.1. JNSI is actively pursuing indexing in major scientific databases and citation indexes to ensure maximum visibility and impact for published research.
8.2. Published articles will be made available through various online platforms and search engines to enhance discoverability and accessibility.
